Toutes les organisations n’étaient pas prêtes à un changement rapide pour permettre à leurs équipes de travailler de façon sécurisée
Ingénieur-manager depuis 2015, Corentin est avide de relever les plus grands défis du monde grâce à la technologie. Sauveur du monde digital ? Au moins pour les 5 plus grandes banques américaines qu'il sécurise depuis New-York au sein de Cisco, l'une des plus grandes –et discrètes– sociétés technologiques de la Silicon Valley. Spécialiste cybersécurité et responsable commercial, il nous plonge dans ce monde virtuel...
1) En quoi consiste votre fonction ?
Je vis et travaille à New York et suis responsable de notre business cybersécurité avec les cinq plus grandes banques américaines : mon rôle est de coordonner l’expertise, les ressources et solutions technologiques de Cisco pour aider nos clients à se défendre contre les attaques les plus sophistiquées de la planète.
Lors d’une journée typique, j’échange avec différentes équipes chez nos clients pour comprendre leurs besoins, je m’aligne avec leur hiérarchie pour cerner leurs priorités, puis j’articule des solutions en puisant dans l’expérience que nous avons avec d’autres grandes banques. Ces échanges ont lieu avec nos ingénieurs, nos directeurs, nos équipes produit à l’origine de nos technologies actuelles et futures, ou encore nos équipes d’intelligence qui analysent les attaques en temps réel sur Internet.
2) Votre métier évolue-t-il avec la généralisation du télétravail et l’augmentation spectaculaire des cyberattaques ?
Notre métier a surtout connu une accélération : toutes les organisations n’étaient pas prêtes à un changement aussi rapide pour permettre à leurs équipes de travailler de façon sécurisée sur leurs applications depuis n’importe où, sur n’importe quel appareil, et avec une excellente expérience utilisateur.
Dans l’urgence, beaucoup ont dû réaliser en quelques jours ce qui prend habituellement des mois – cela a amené du risque et fragilisé la posture de sécurité de beaucoup d’organisations.
Et à un moment où l’enjeu de sécurité était alors le plus critique, toutes les formes d’attaques ont augmenté de façon substantielle, cherchant à tirer profit de la situation. Nous travaillons donc plus que jamais avec nos clients pour protéger leurs infrastructures, leurs données, leur métier, et leurs employés.
3) Quelles qualités et compétences requièrent votre poste ?
Je vois trois éléments clés :
- Expertise technique : il faut maitriser l’enjeu, les mécanismes d’une cyberattaque, les axes d’une défense efficace, et le fonctionnement des solutions technologiques. Mais au quotidien, ce n’est pas l’expertise technique qui fait la différence.
- Business et Leadership : il s’agit d’écouter, d’être proactif, efficace, et avec un niveau d’énergie élevé. D’être créatif, ouvert, et de ne pas avoir d’égo. C’est ce qui permet la magie du travail en équipe, entre nous d’abord puis avec nos clients, comme si nous étions une équipe de sport à haut niveau qui travaille en symbiose parfaite.
- International : nous travaillons avec les États-Unis, l’Europe et l’Asie. Une réunion avec quelqu’un à San Francisco est très différente d’une réunion avec un Singapourien, et il faut tenir compte des différences de cultures pour être efficace. Certains livres comme The Culture Map d’Erin Meyer m’ont beaucoup appris, tout comme la vie à l’étranger.
4) Quels conseils donneriez-vous à un étudiant souhaitant travailler dans la cybersécurité ?
Ma première question serait : dans quelle mesure êtes-vous familier avec la cybersecurité ? Avez-vous naturellement cherché à comprendre les enjeux, les mécanismes d’une attaque, les points d’entrée, les conséquences d’un mot de passe compromis, … ?
Si vous sentez que vous êtes réellement passionné par le sujet, alors j’ai une excellente nouvelle : nous avons un besoin critique de bons talents en cybersécurité, et il existe des formations certifiantes complètes sur Internet pour acquérir une fondation solide sur le sujet.
Des perspectives passionnantes s’ouvriront alors à vous : vous serez fortement demandé avec un grand choix de carrières possibles – de la vente complexe avec les institutions les plus critiques au monde, au « test de pénétration » très technique (vous êtes mandaté par une organisation pour identifier ses failles, avant qu’un véritable attaquant ne les exploite), en passant par la réponse à incidents, ou encore la data science qui aidera à repérer des anomalies et brèches de sécurité parmi un grand volume de données en temps réel.
5) Quel est votre meilleur souvenir à l'école ?
Il y a deux images qui apparaissent :
- Le bouillonnement social et l’énergie vibrante de la vie en communauté à l’école. Certaines personnes que j’ai croisées à Audencia sont parmi mes plus proches amis aujourd’hui !
- Les cours de vente & négociation, qui m’ont transformé tant dans ma vie personnelle que professionnelle – c’était la première fois que l’on m’apprenait à écouter, oser, me préparer mentalement comme un athlète, et gérer des situations complexes de la vie réelle. C’était une invitation à la croissance personnelle, et elle continue largement aujourd’hui.

For its third edition, Audencia Around the World continues to innovate With 30 events on the agenda, the School's alumni ambassadors rivalled with one another to bring creative -online and offline- solutions for some light relief and an antidote to working behind a computer screen. Open to the whole Audencia community, these events shared the same objective of connecting and re-connecting alumni. In a nutshell, here's what the past week looked like: 30 events in a single week on all 5 continents – 10 offline / 20 online 45 alumni & student organisers involved 2 professors co-hosting (thank you Camilla & Uwe) 450 registrations 1 dedicated website 50 packets of coffee for the tag challenge 20 yoga mats in Mexico 4 bottles of wine in Geneva (opened and tasted by the sommelier - not counting those opened and consumed by participants!) Lots of cherry blossom in Tokyo 19,072 calories burned in Shenzhen It's still not too late to drop by the online photo booth where you can create your avatar and take your picture and have it sent to you! 1 April PARIS Paris was the final date on this year's Around the World tour. The tour guide, Jean, grabbed a Parisian Vélib bicycle and took participants along the Seine passing by some of the city's most famous monuments. The weather was great and the streets were not too crowded. SINGAPORE Join Audencians in Singapore for drinks & dinner. It's time to catch up! 31 March AMSTERDAM BERLIN-MUNICH-ZURICH 30 March CHENGDU Looking fabulously smart and in fine company, alumni from Chengdu enjoyed their first official alumni gathering. 29 March CAMBODIA COPENHAGEN What a great conversation! SPAIN Audencians throughout Spain got together for an online cultural visit of "L’Escurial des Bourbons". 28 March DUBAI An al fresco gathering was held in Dubai! 27 March BAKU Audencians from Ajerbaijan tuned in from Baku, Dubai and Geneva for an informal gathering! The organiser, Rasul shared his experience of being a career advisor at partner university ADA and how proud he is to continue sending students to Audencia! Participants were able to catch up on who was doing what and where and promised to get together on a more regular basis. BEIJING Alumni in Beijing enjoyed an offline cocktail workshop! SAN FRANCISCO Alumni in San Fransisco met at Surfers Beach on Half Moon Bay for a beach clean-up in collaboration with the Surfrider Foundation. SHANGHAI Boardgames, foosball, XBox KTV, Switch, drinks and snack are on the menu for Audencians in Shanghai. SHENZHEN Shenzhen alumni put on their helmets and went for a cycle ride! SYDNEY To mark the Sydney stopover of the Around the World journey, Audencia Alumni there are going bowling. Align, adjust and go for those strikes and baby splits... join them on Saturday 27 March at 2pm Sydney time at Strike, King Street Wharf. TOKYO Join Audencians in Tokyo for time-honoured Japanese tradition of cherry blossom viewing party. MEXICO CITY Audencians from Mexico City made their morning date for a yoga session. They grabbed a mat, got their screen set up en enjoyed this date with a yoga teacher that put you them in fine form for the rest of the weekend. WEST AFRICA Whether you are in Lagos, Nigeria, or even further afield in West or Central Africa, this year's Audencia Around the World is online. There's simply no excuse for not joining Oge and friends for a digital gathering. 26 March COLOMBIA It was 8am in Colombia and 2pm in France, so just the right time for a coffee! Audencians from Bogotá got together for a chat, a catch-up and a great cup of coffee online at wonder.me. It was great to see familiar faces again and meet new ones too. And wonderful to see current student Cécile Griffon (GE 21) taking the plunge and networking with alumni. ALGIERS This was the first alumni gathering for the new Executive MBA class in Algiers. Alumni and current participants got to know each other during the one-hour conversation and have made a date to go *OFFLINE* - 20 May! 25 March PARIS The opening event took place in Paris and will focus on internationals working there. Following a welcome message from Dean Christophe Germain, Briana, Diana, Ayush and professor Camilla Quental shared their intercultural thoughts on living and working in France when French isn't your mother tongue. NEW YORK Alumna Laurene took participants on a historical tour of New York and invited them to solve a riddle before sitting back to enjoy a Manhattan cocktail. Audencia will take part in the EFMD Global Virtual Fairs by Highered, as part of an exclusive network of top schools across the globe. The virtual fairs replicate a sophisticated job fair simulation environment that enables our students and alumni to have real-time interaction, including one-to-one live chat with recruiters from leading companies and organisations, as well as video chat when enabled by certain recruiters. The EFMD Global Virtual Fairs are open to both students and alumni, and will take place over the course of five days, from April 19-23. The event will feature multiple sector, profile and geographic-specific fairs all on a single platform in a pavilion-style format. What is there for you?
