Three new webinars are now accessible:
Answering the "why" question in job interviews with Steve Dalton
Throughout the recruitment process, and in every job interview, you run into “Why?” questions. In this webinar, Steve Dalton explains why these innocuous “Why?” questions matter so much, why normal “low content” responses don’t work and how to answer in a way that reassures your interviewer and distinguishes you from other candidates.
Feel good about networking (and do it well) with Nicolas Constantinesco
Networking is critical for successful job hunting. But many of us find the process uncomfortable, unethical or just too difficult. It does not have to be so. In this webinar Nicolas Constantinesco explains a different networking approach that he has successfully used to train students and mid-career professionals alike.
How to make your work more meaningful with Monique Valcour
Finding meaning in work is not a “nice to have”. It is a critical component of a good life. In this webinar we explore and identify the conditions that give rise to meaningful work and the strategies we can use to achieve them.

Steve Dalton hosts a webinar on how to answer the "why" question in job interviews
Throughout the recruitment process, and in every job interview, you run into “Why?” questions: Why this industry? This company? This role? Most of us struggle to answer well, leaving recruiters unsure about our fit and motivation. In this webinar, Steve Dalton (author of The 2-Hour Job Search and more recently The Job Closer) explains why these innocuous “Why?” questions matter so much, why normal “low content” responses don’t work and how to answer in a way that reassures your interviewer and distinguishes you from other candidates. Steve’s RAC formula (Reason-Anecdote-Connection) allows you to use Why questions to your advantage by telling a unique story that connects you to a potential employer. In this webinar, we will take a deep dive into this formula (bonus – it also works great for cover letters) and discuss: How many reasons to give, what to focus on and how long to talk; The three characteristics of a good answer to a why question (hint: think authentic, specific, informed); How to make a great impression without selling yourself or being phony; How to generate a great long list of reasons to use for Why questions; How to answer with stories which are memorable and persuasive. Connson Locke hosts a webinar on how to make your voice heard at work
On Tuesday 7 December from 13:00 to 14:00 (Paris time), Audencia is delighted to announce that Professor Connson Locke will be hosting a webinar on how to make your voice heard at work. To prosper at work, we need people with more power than us to notice our ideas and contributions. However, hierarchical organisations are bad at this: managers pursue their own agendas; decision-makers succumb to groupthink; cultural and gender biases get in the way. To overcome these barriers, according to Professor Connson Locke from the London School of Economics, we need to use “upwards influence” to win over those with more formal power than us. In this webinar Connson Locke will discuss: The five sources of power and which work best when managing up How to deal with resistance and recover when things go wrong How and why you should cultivate “expert power” An effective way of dealing with imposter syndrome How to counteract bias and stereotyping Audencia is giving away 100 free tickets to its alumni and students: REGISTRATION (use code "AUD-student" if ticket does not show) About the speaker: Professor Connson Locke teaches leadership, organisational behaviour, negotiation and decision making at the London School of Economics. She has received several teaching awards including the Department of Management Outstanding Teaching Contribution Award and the LSE Excellence in Education Award. She is the author of Making Your Voice Heard: How to own your space, access your inner power and become influential.
